Cinema 4D 2024.5 from Maxon is not a major update but includes workflow improvements across several toolsets. The new particle system introduced in Cinema 4D 2024.4 has received better integration with MoGraph, with Cloners and Arrays now supporting primary particle emission sources and interactions. Additionally, the Surface Attractor and the Collide, Flock, and Predator-Prey modifiers have been updated. For pipeline integration, particle data imported from other DCC applications as point cloud data can now be imported both as particle groups and as particle geometry. The Unified Simulation System in Cinema 4D has also been updated, with the new rigid body tools now supporting connectors for Motor and Spring objects. Automatic generation of connectors has been improved.

Additionally, the Scene Nodes system has introduced new nodes, including Split and Disconnect, for separating selected polygons from the mesh. A new Outline Spline node has been added for creating procedural spline contours, and a Points Modifier node is now available for working with point data. When using Maxon's Redshift renderer, the Redshift camera is automatically created for motion tracking, camera calibration, and other tools. The update also includes a new undo history in the Edit menu, allowing users to undo multiple changes in the scene at once.

Cinema 4D 2024.5 is compatible with Windows 10 and later, and macOS 11.7.7 and later. The update is available only via subscription, with the cost of Cinema 4D being $94 per month or $719 per year.
