This add-on enables animators to control 3D characters in Maya similar to video games, by moving a target object on the screen and causing the character to automatically follow it.
Users import their own animation loops, and the plugin blends them together while altering the character's movement direction. Subsequently, you can fine-tune the result by setting the character's rotation speed and thresholds for transitioning between motion loops.
Users can record a real-time sequence of movements and then bake it, allowing for manual cleanup of the animation and its use in standalone work.
Character Tracker is compatible with Maya 2023 and is priced at $29.99.
