Author’s comment:
High-precision 3D modeling and product visualization of the iconic Tongue Chair (Model No. 3), originally designed by Olivier Mourgue (1967).
This project reinterprets the classic mid-century design as a monobloc organic wooden structure, focusing on smooth polygonal curvature and flawless subdivision topology.
* Technical Features: 100% Subdivision Surface topology (quads only). The main challenge was integrating the three structural legs directly into the fluid, single-body shell while maintaining uniform edge loops and preventing shading artifacts under subdivision.
* Look-Dev: Textured with custom high-resolution wood veneer shaders, carefully mapping the grain direction along the organic flow of the biomorphic frame.
* Software: 3ds Max | Corona Renderer
