The Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) 2025 event was a large-scale production, presented across all Emirates in the presence of high-profile officials. Here I’m showcasing the part I was responsible for. This was my first experience working with Kabuki projection. The visuals also had to be adapted to multiple venues with different stage dimensions. To streamline this, I developed a custom BP Camera Plane that automatically recalculated curve data based on the required resolution and screen size (though minor manual adjustments were still necessary). For this project, I also created several custom Spline-based Niagara Systems, allowing the performer on stage to “draw” effects (they were animated by keys in Sequencer). We had 9 days to complete the development before the first show. After the premiere, an additional two days were spent adapting the visuals to other stage formats.
