Maxon has released Maxon Studio

Maxon describes Maxon Studio as a template engine for After Effects and a user interface for creating graphics, primarily focusing on 2D and 3D motion graphics. It is available as part of the Red Giant subscription from Maxon, which provides access to plugin collections for creating VFX and motion graphics in After Effects and other compositing, grading, and video editing applications.

Studio is designed for artists of all levels, and its workflow is based on configuring ready-made "capsules" that provide animated backgrounds, text, transitions, and effects. These "capsules" combine the functionality of over 130 existing Red Giant tools and can encompass "hundreds or even thousands" of parameters, although users "often need just a few" for the most common settings, such as keyframes. In Maxon's marketing materials, "capsules" are notably distinguished from standard After Effects templates, which are sometimes described as "difficult to customize."

"Capsules" also interact with graphics, so the layout of the graphics should automatically adjust to changes in the resolution of the After Effects project. The Studio interface can be launched either as a standalone window or within After Effects. At launch, Maxon Studio provides access to over 250 "capsules" created in partnership with the artist collective CandyMustache. New "capsules" will be "regularly added over time."

Maxon Studio is available through the Red Giant subscription for $79 per month or $599 per year, and also through the Maxon One subscription for $149 per month or $1199 per year. Red Giant plugins are compatible with Windows 10 and above, macOS 12.0 and above, and are compatible with After Effects 2023 and higher.
