In the original release of Library Drop in April 2021, over 100 materials and textures were added.
In Toolbag Library Drop 02, released in September 2021, 135 materials were added - 28 smart and 107 standard - focusing on realistic fabrics.
Toolbag Library Drop 03, released in August 2022, introduced 382 assets - 98 new smart materials, 111 new standard materials, and 169 patterned textures.
Toolbag Library Drop 04, released in April 2023, added 200 assets - 66 new smart materials, 58 new standard materials, and 75 new textures, including patterns, stencils, and grunge maps.
The latest version, Toolbag Library Drop 05, adds 224 assets - 47 new Smart materials, 11 Smart masks, 49 standard materials, and 120 textures. Among these are 49 new standard materials, including concrete, stone, vegetation, and transparent materials, as well as 120 textures with patterns, grunge, and stencils.
Additionally, 47 new smart materials have been introduced, including plaster and paint, and for the first time, "smart masks" are available for selectively applying textures to specific parts of the model, for example, to create weathering effects.
Marmoset's Library Drop materials are available for free to Toolbag 4.x users. The Toolbag software is compatible with Windows 10 and macOS 10.15 and above. It works with any GPU supporting Direct3D 12 on Windows and GPU family 2 on macOS. The current release is Toolbag 4.06.
The cost of new licenses is $319 for individual artists and $999 for studios. Subscription pricing is $15.99 per month for individual users and $43.99 per month for studios.
