I started this project two years ago. Through setbacks, long breaks, and burnout, this long-term project finally reached the finish line. Everything you see in this environment was modeled by me from scratch — every single asset, except for the plants. The workflow was mixed: some assets followed a traditional high-poly to low-poly pipeline, while others were created using a mid-poly approach. A full breakdown of the project, including all assets, materials, and textures, will be published later. I think some of the techniques and workflows might surprise you, especially the level of attention given to small details. The project originally started after I came across Henri Victor Lesur's painting "An Exotic Courtyard." At first, I only wanted to recreate what was shown in the artwork. Then, somehow, one thing led to another, and before I knew it, I was building an entire environment around it😭 P.s. My intention was not to reproduce the painting exactly as it was. Rather, I used it as a source of inspiration, following its visual language while introducing new ideas, details, and spaces of my own.
