A rework of a piece I created over a decade ago. I decided to rebuild it from scratch, preserving the mood of isolation, cold, and grandeur of a frozen alien world. The scene depicts the icy spires of Karachun, a moon of the gas giant Veles. A massive crashed ship lies embedded in the ice, while a lone explorer stands on a cliff, gazing at the vast, desolate landscape. Painted digitally with a focus on atmospheric depth and scale.
