Hello everyone, @MFedorovV is in touch. Today I want to show you a work from the Star Wars universe with one of the most original characters - Darth Maul. Of course, "SW" is a legendary franchise, each character from which is unique, and their characters and stories are worked out with detailed precision. But from the many destinies, in my humble opinion, Darth Maul stands out. He is a mixture of a cultist with ritual tattoos and a silent embodiment of rage in a kimono 😳 Anyone who watched "SW" will definitely find differences in the on-screen image of Darth Maul and mine. Why is that? I wanted to show him from a more down-to-earth side, as evidenced by the simple and monochromatic clothes made of rough fabric, almost reminiscent of an everyday sweater. Ritual tattoos, which completely paint the whole body, go to the neck and the back of the head, as if he is a member of Brooklyn gangs, and not a dark lord of the Sith. Although, I would take a look at Gangs of New York in the Star Wars setting 😁 According to the story, the Sith draw energy from rage - obviously, I had to show all the anger of the character through facial expressions, since only it can convey the character's character and make him individual. What do the compressed lips, furrowed eyebrows, eyes filled with anger and contempt say. His hatred is not ostentatious, but frighteningly believable, it is ready to break out, which is shown in the battle with the Jedi. So, this project is the beginning, where I will try to show characters from different franchises in their essence, and also interpret them in my own way.
