Author’s comment:
In creating this interior, I drew inspiration from the mid-century modern era. I’ve always been drawn to vintage design elements, natural materials, and the cozy atmosphere that feels like a nostalgic embrace. This project brings those ideas to life through the use of wood and metal, black-and-white accents reminiscent of classic film photography, and soft, ambient lighting.
The result is an understated yet incredibly inviting space, achieved through a balance of clean lines and gentle curves, warm color tones, and textiles that are as pleasant to touch as they are to see.
Functional Zoning
The kitchen-living room is thoughtfully divided into two functional areas: a dining space and a relaxation zone. The kitchen can be completely concealed when needed, transforming the area into a unified living room. Lighting plays a key role here: pendant lights over the dining table set the mood for cozy family dinners or lively evenings with friends, while floor lamps in the sofa area create a serene and calming atmosphere for unwinding after a long day.
A Space for Connection
The absence of a TV is intentional, designed to encourage residents to step away from constant content consumption. Instead, the space invites moments of connection: gathering around the large table, cooking homemade meals together, or simply enjoying meaningful conversations.
The Vision
This interior isn’t just a stylish space—it’s a home designed to bring people together, to fill their days with warmth and their hearts with comfort, making it a place where everyone wants to be.
