I recently visited several ancient Greek city-states also known as polyses and I was truly captivated by their grandeur, meticulous planning, architectural mastery, and the variety of spaces for commerce and leisure. This trip inspired me to create yet another form of enjoyable pastime within an ancient city-state, although one that is not directly related to the city-state itself. I came up with a funny concept of an arcade-style gaming cabinet, but with that ancient greek vibe. To develop this concept I needed to dig into the intricacies of the ancient architectural tradition, understanding its origins and the ways in which it evolved over time. So I delved into the study of architectural orders, which were described by the ancient Greeks themselves in accordance with their history, worldview, and philosophy.
