Same Scene, Different Worlds Some time ago, I worked on a storyboard and color script for a post-apocalyptic story about a girl and her dog at a gas station. For this personal project, I took the last thumbnail from that sequence and decided to reimagine it - keeping only the core composition with the girl and the German shepherd sitting with their backs to the viewer. I started by creating a grayscale concept and developing a neutral lighting pass. From there, I began experimenting with different lighting moods to see how they would reshape the narrative: 1. Night scene - distant burning outpost casting a warm glow on the horizon, with a mysterious shadow of an unseen figure behind the heroes. 2. Space vibe - a misty dawn atmosphere inspired by Star Wars, soft light over an alien-like horizon. 3. Golden-hour sunset - a warm, saturated sky with an oversized sun dominating the background. 4. Ethereal green-yellow dawn - a misty, otherworldly morning light with a subtle mystical tone. The concept was created using photobash techniques. I used Blender and Mixamo for posing, followed by final overpainting and photobash in Photoshop.
