Trail of the giants. A group of scientists got very close to meet the giants. Although they looked rather menacing, instilling fear with their huge spherical heads and long stilt-paws. Scientists were determined to attract the attention of tripods and stocked with flashlights, fireworks, and other similar things. But fear made itself felt, approaching the computer to the throat. During the expedition, most of the scientists did not dare to continue the campaign and soon returned to the base in anticipation of a helicopter that would take them to the city. Even now, at the moment of truth, the remaining daredevils were stopped by the fear of the unknown. On the night before going out onto the rocks, in order to attract the attention of one giant from the pack that was about to go there, the group leader announced in the evening by the fire that he would go alone, even if everyone gave the back one. After a deathly silence, which, it seemed, lasted forever, another close friend of his colleague volunteered to follow him, and after him one young assistant, famous for her talent in finding a way out of any situation. The rest said that they would look forward to them in the camp and if they did not return within a day, they would call a rescue expedition to that place. And so, in the morning the three went to the appointed point. One tripod was attracted, and he came closer. Despite the excitement and fear, the group did not give in to doubts and confidently approached the goal. Upon closer inspection, it turned out that a tripod is not a living creature at all, but a huge machine! Suddenly the tripod stopped and after a moment the three brave ones saw a small point flying out of the sphere-head of a mechanical wanderer. The point increased, rapidly approaching the group, and soon something was visible in it in the form of a capsule the size of a person. People immediately thought that this was a projectile aimed at them! The giant, apparently, mistook them for enemies, but before they had time to give a tear, like a capsule, it landed surprisingly smoothly and silently not far from a group of frightened scientists. A man came out of the capsule, but not like the usual people. He saw the world with unusual eyes with luminous irises, and instead of his right hand he even had some kind of tubular prosthesis. He was going to meet scientists. He was friendly and went to get acquainted with the expedition. Scientists greeted him coldly, but this did not hurt the unusual guest. When asked who he is and where he came from, the future is in danger. He told how people destroyed the planet and they had to escape with the help of their traveling cars through interdimensional and intertemporal portals. People of the future have learned to open these portals, but still very badly and uncontrollably. Therefore, people of the future travel between worlds and times in order to one day get into the times before the Great catastrophe and prevent it.
