GeoTracker for Blender is ready for use

Originally available for Nuke and After Effects, GeoTracker for Blender is designed to make everyday motion tracking tasks accessible for VFX artists, motion graphic designers, and object tracking specialists. The plugin utilizes an intuitive workflow where users can "attach" a tracking object - a 3D primitive or an imported 3D model - to the corresponding object in the video material by clicking in the viewport. Subsequently, GeoTracker reconstructs the object's motion throughout the captured footage, creating a 3D track that can be exported for use in other DCC (Digital Content Creation) applications.

The plugin can work with changes in the focal length during shooting, and artists can refine results using 2D or 3D masks to exclude parts of the frame obscured by foreground objects. Besides solid surface objects like props and vehicles, GeoTracker can track faces and be used with custom 3D head meshes created by the separate FaceBuilder plugin for Blender.
Moreover, in the final version, several useful additional features have been added, including the ability to extract textures from the tracked video and bake them into a 3D model. This allows for replacing a real object in the frame with its 3D version, which can then be manipulated as desired, as demonstrated in the video above.

Additionally, there's now the capability to stabilize captured footage by attaching the view to a 3D model or a point on its surface and exporting the selected point as an empty in Blender. The stable version of GeoTracker is available as part of the KeenTools 2023.3 update, which also includes minor updates for After Effects and Nuke editions.

GeoTracker for Blender is compatible with Blender 2.80 and higher on Windows, Linux, or macOS. The macOS version supports Apple Silicon Mac computers. The software is only available through a subscription model. The subscription cost for freelancers is $18 per month or $179 per year. For studios, the cost of a floating subscription is $499 per year. The subscription also includes versions for Nuke and After Effects.
