Autodesk has released Flame 2024.2

In a small update, Autodesk's Flame 2024.2 introduces a new workflow for subtitles. This allows users to create or edit SubRip (SRT) subtitles directly on the timeline. Once done, you can export and visualize the subtitles as exported images or as separate SubRip (SRT) files.

Now, content using H.264 compression can be exported from MediaHub to an MP4 container. It's worth noting that not every media player can open MP4/H.264 files created using 10-bit encoding profiles. Decoding such media files requires access to professional codecs. Additionally, some node-related aspects were improved, and software drivers and other minor fixes were updated.

Flame 2024.2 is available for Rocky Linux 8.5/8.7 and macOS 12.0 and above, but it's only accessible through a subscription. Since Flame 2023, the subscription cost has increased to $610 per month or $4,870 per year. Flare 2024 and Flame Assist 2024 are also available for Rocky Linux 8.5/8.7 and macOS 11.1 and above. The cost of a single-user subscription is now $2,595 per year. Lustre 2024 is available exclusively for Rocky Linux 8.5/8.7, and the single-user subscription is priced at $4,870 per year.
