Reallusion reveals 360 Head Creator for Cartoon Animator 4

Reallusion has announced 360 Head Creator, a new feature for its 2D animation software Cartoon Animator 4. Cartoon Animator (formerly CrazyTalk Animator) was created in 2008 and is known for its professional features that quickly generate the desired results. The new version of Cartoon Animator 4 will be released in April 2019 with Smart IK, 3D Head Creator and real-time motion capture (webcam facial mocap) and other new tools to improve 2D animation performance.

Cartoon Animator 4 provides 2D animators with a practical way to create characters with advanced animation and vivid facial expressions. Evolution 360 simplifies the workflow of Head Creation, Expression Setup and direct-to-animation core with face key editing, puppeteering and the timeline system.

Quick transformation of a 2D face into a 3D head

3D Head Creator converts 2D art into 3D-style characters with a 360 rotation to create all kinds of poses. Integration with Photoshop allows artists to edit characters in 3D Head Creator from any angle.

Photoshop 360 Creation Pipeline

Full integration with Photoshop makes it possible to transfer easily from PSD to CTA to create full-fledged characters. The function supports layers in Photoshop and imports them into 360 Head Creator, where character generation takes place at a certain angle. Then users just
need to send the result back to Photoshop, while creating new PSD layers to adjust the angle.
