ZIS-155 was the most widespread model of domestic passenger cars 50s. Salon bus was designed for a nominal capacity of 52 passengers, 28 of which people could ride sitting down. ZIS-155 has long remained the only car for passenger transport in urban areas. In addition, there was no car for long distance flights - had on these routes send a ZIS-155. ZIS-155 buses in different years varied grille, headlights, window shape for the back door and some other details of appearance. But remained unchanged branded "herring"-logo "ZIS" with developing a red Soviet flag on the background of a silhouette of the Palace of the Soviets, who were going to build on the site of demolished Cathedral of Christ the Savior.
