Over my long creative career I have drawn a lot of pictures, shot hundreds of videos, and worked on everything from logos and brands to 3D models and product visualization. But my own brand was always in the shadow of all of it. Time to change that – every cobbler to his last shoe. This is not just a graphic mark, it is my own visual identity, built on my sense of style and taste. It is the result of years of work, reflection, feeding my visual library, studying culture and sharpening my craft. The style is woven from my graffiti past and the deep aesthetics of my homeland, soaked in street art spirit, the smell of paint on walls and Slavic ligature motifs drifting among the free winds over the fields. For me it was a near-mystical experience. Throughout the work I was inspired not only by beautiful calligraphy from old books, but by birds as well. Once, while walking in a nature reserve, I saw a Demoiselle crane. I was struck by its grace and colouring, its feathers forming a remarkably smooth and gathered silhouette. The gaze of these animals deserves a mention of its own: there is something almost prehistoric about it, and it gives a feeling of deep understanding of this world. This logo is part of a system I have been working on for the last few years. Apart from purely aesthetic aspects, it relies on various harmonies and proportions woven into a single, well-matched composition. Each of us has that unformulatable sense of harmony, which quietly plays inside us all the time and flares up loudly when it hears or sees something like itself in the surrounding world.
