LABRENTA is a real-time character project that I worked on over several months in my free time after my full-time job. Balancing a full-time position with personal work made this project especially challenging, but it also became one of the most rewarding learning experiences I've had. From the very beginning, my goal was not only to create a high-quality game-ready character but also to improve several areas of my workflow and push my technical skills further. The main goals of this project were: * To improve my texturing skills and achieve more believable materials. * To improve my skills in creating real-time hair using hair cards. * To render the final character entirely in Unreal Engine 5 instead of Marmoset Toolbag. * To improve my low-poly workflow and mesh optimization. This project taught me a lot and helped me gain valuable experience throughout the entire character creation pipeline. Working in Unreal Engine 5 for the final presentation gave me a much deeper understanding of real-time lighting, materials, rendering, and scene composition.
