Type 73 APC JGSDF
Accurate model of Type 73 APC 73式装甲車.
Although very old and outdated, this APC is STILL in service within Japanese army since 1973. Its tracked design allows it to cross difficult terrain with ease — something the intended wheeled replacement cannot do. The Type 96, meant to replace it, still isn't fielded in sufficient numbers, so the Type 73 continues to fill the gaps. That means this vehicle will likely remain in active service for the foreseeable future.
+ + + +
Not many references are available for this APC, and probably why very few people have modeled it. Had to model the Sumimoto 12.7mm machine gun fit for 1st person usage for it too.
The model is optimized for games, it has simplistic interior and openable hatches, doors for damaged version mesh.
