Author’s comment:
A model of a ring-type dagger, early 16th century,
Southern Germany/Italy. The total length is 470 mm.
The blade of the dagger is straight, steel, double-edged,
in diameter the blade is a diamond with concave edges.
There is also a pronounced ricasso.
The handle is metal, with spiral-shaped grooves.
The pommel and the "guard" are steel discs with elaborately carved bronze
inserts and remnants of gilding.. In general, it is clearly not an ordinary weapon.
Dagger for 6600 euros, in 2010 at the Hermann Historica auction
