I finally finished the work that will open my portfolio. I had only made a few characters before, in each case their design was chosen to answer the question of which style I was more drawn to. But when I finished them, I was still not satisfied, so I didn't even want to publish them - not because I don't like stylized characters, but because they don't turn out the way I want them to, but I'm sure I'll solve this problem in the future. For my portfolio-opening work, I was looking for a character that was difficult to execute, so that I could show my employers and myself what I had learned during the course. The choice fell on the protagonist of the game Overlord II, as this character looks cool, and I myself am a huge fan of this series of games, which passed several times. There were no problems in finding references, as I just downloaded the game, and screened the character in all the angles I needed. Of course, if we go back to the workflow, I would have changed a couple of things: I would have made less dense retopology, more carefully aligned the UV-rendering and spent more time modeling in ZBrush. But still, looking at these renders, I feel proud of the work I've done, because I finally managed to make the result the way I imagined it in my head. Of course, I don't think this is my ceiling, and I will continue to develop in the direction of 3D-graphics, but regarding this work, I'm finally satisfied with myself. And the last word, without which I just can't post this post - remember, Evil Always Finds a Way.
