The story of Eledriel, a half-blood elf, who has been cast a spell by a forest witch that turns her into an enchanted tree during daylight hours. At night, when the moon rises, the spell is partially broken, and the heroine has a chance to defeat the curse by passing tests and doing good deeds. The setting is a nocturnal, predawn forest and the settlements and fields close to the forest.
