Ráczi is a member of the Circle of Occult Scientists from a land called Erdő. In the Circle, Ráczi experimented with modifications to his body. He was particularly fond of mollusks. All this scientific activity of the occultists did not please the Circle of Ministers, who were interested in their power and authority, but not in knowledge. Moreover, the king was more and more interested in the activities of the scientists than in their conquests. Until recently, Raci was imprisoned. He and five of the Circle Masters were falsely accused of attempting to seize power and were threatened with arrest. Ratsi was arrested, the others went into hiding. He trusted his king and was convinced that the king would listen to him and accept all the evidence of the Circle's innocence. But the king had changed, Ratsi noticed this immediately when he was brought before the king. The king dismissed any argument of the Circle's innocence and ordered Ratsi to be thrown into a prison cell. But now, a decade later, the lands of Erdő are in danger: the envious kings of the wild borderlands are once again preparing to wage war on the prosperous Erdő in order to plunder it. But the king is unable to rule the lands and his troops due to illness. The cause of the sickness, as it will later turn out is a demon that has been slowly subjugating the king to its will and drying him up. The Circle of Ministers is willing to forgive the "betrayal" of Ratsi and the rest of the Masters of the Circle of Learned Occultists in exchange for saving the king and themselves, of course. Only the Masters can exorcise the demon. And only Raci can find and convince the other Masters to return and help the Erdő lands and the king.
