Zone artifacts are objects that have changed their usual properties under the influence of either radiation or alien radiation, under the influence of which the "exclusion zone" arose... They were "treasures of the zone", which were hunted by stalkers and other adventurers. Many of them laid down their lives in this search - someone died, falling into an anomaly, someone became a victim of bandits, crazed stalkers, mutant animals looking for food in an almost lifeless space ... Too many deaths, grief, terrible stories ... All this has sunk into oblivion. To date, only one thing is known for certain - 18 years ago there was a strong explosion that caused an anomalous energy surge that disabled everything - electronic equipment, mechanisms, people's minds within a radius of 50 kilometers from the center of the zone. The military fenced the exclusion zone with an impenetrable barbed wall - it turned out to be the largest closed zone on the planet. Many scientists were called to the zone to study and eliminate the consequences. And they succeeded - three years ago the last traces of radiation or other radiation known to mankind were destroyed, all more or less significant things, equipment and so on were collected. And today there is no longer an impenetrable wall, the roads are free, but still not crowded. Life never returned to this region, although nature had already recovered and practically healed a terrible wound = the trees turned green again, flowers bloomed in the glades, a few animals began to inhabit the “exclusion zone”. Few adventurers sometimes come to this region in search of "artifacts" of the past and today. No, the artifacts that the stalkers mined can no longer be found in the zone, as well as weapons, anomalies and other integral things of that time. But sometimes someone is still lucky. The object in front of you was once a detector with which you could detect a real “zone artifact”. Of course, I don’t know how he worked, what he showed to stalkers, but it’s still nice to have a unique thing from a slightly mysterious past.
