Author’s comment:
Finally, I got to my first serious publication, for which I am not ashamed (at least for now). I made this statue disgustingly long, mainly due to difficult circumstances - the idea appeared in July, a few days of the sculpture in August and September, then not very intensive work on it in October and November, texturing in December, and now - it is ready .
This is my first major work with a full pipeline - concept, blocking, sculpture, retopology, UV, baking cards, texturing, scene assembly, rendering and a simple composition. The detail of this work was transmitted through the normal map, baked in substance, rendered a smoothed lowpoly. (I don’t know if this can be done, but it looks normal)
I feel a little uncomfortable. I see flaws and schools, my hands itch to fix them. Specifically for this work, I see a terrible anatomy, the most standard light through an HDRI card from the Substance and a broken composition, into which I just crammed everything that I like. BUT! That's all, this is a completed stage. You can’t hang on one job, otherwise perfectionism will eat all the strength, and the ratio of time spent / result will begin to tend down.
With all this, I am passionately waiting for criticism of the technical / art part
