The other day I saw a fascinating mushroom growth on a tree. It looked like infected alien tumours bursting through the bark.
As it turned out the mushroom was called Daldinia concentrica. It grows on dead and decaying trees.
Clearly a very impressive and inspiring mushroom ;)
