Lens Cap for Blender has a range of features, but perhaps the most useful one is the camera sync mode, where the visibility of objects in the 3D viewport matches their rendering settings. This allows for accurate reproduction of explosion scenes, where objects appear or disappear at keyframes, such as destruction shots, instead of having to perform a final render to check the effect.
Other features include the DOF Finder, which allows users to quickly add depth of field effects to shots. Users can set the focus point to the 3D cursor, making it easy to focus with a simple click in the 3D viewport. In the video above, you can see how this is used for quick focus adjustments.
The last feature, the active camera list, displays all the cameras in the scene in one place in the interface, making it easier to switch between them or toggle camera keyframes.
Lens Cap for Blender is compatible with Blender 4.3 and is available for free download.
