Sapphire 2024 by Boris FX
Sapphire 2024 introduces two new effects: S_Dust - for adding atmospheric dust to frames without simulating particles, and S_PixelMosh - to mimic video glitches during playback. S_PixelMosh is a versatile datamoshing effect (simulating corrupted digital video) that can be somewhat complex to describe but is best understood by watching the provided video. It is also available as a transition.
The update introduces 10 new presets to the Lens Flare effects in Sapphire, as well as 65 new presets in Builder (S_Effect and S_Builder) - Sapphire's set of tools for creating custom effects and transitions. Additionally, in S_Effect and S_Builder, there are now time-based effects that can be visualized in the preset browser.
Sapphire 2024 is available for a range of compositing and editing programs, including After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Flame, and Nuke, on Windows 10 and above, CentOS/RHEL 7 and above Linux, and/or macOS 10.14 and above. The license cost is $1695 for Avid and Adobe/OFX editions or $2795 for a multi-host license.
