Auto-Rig Pro is an add-on for Blender which easily creates character rigs for animation. Add-on was released a long time ago, but is beloved by animators and already considered to be a replacement for Max’s Biped and CAT.
It is available on Blender Market for $40, but for anyone who wants to try out characters with rigs made with this tool, its developer Lucas Veber has just added a free character model named Mike to the product page for free download. It is allowed to be used both for personal projects and commercial purposes.
