American Kitsch
This work is dedicated to American kitsch, the style that developed at the turn of the 20th century. It offers a contemporary interpretation of American kitsch, focusing on the American idea and taste of so-called kitsch in design. The entire project is divided into two sections: the first is classic kitsch with so-called kitsch portraits and attributes, while the second section explores the contemporary interpretation of kitsch as experienced in the last years of the 21st century. Some comparisons are made between kitsch styles, specifically the early and late American periods. I don't claim this is exactly how it should have been, but I nevertheless express my appreciation and gratitude for supporting this design of American kitsch.
