Author’s comment:
Fear is a strong negative emotion that arises as a result of an imagined or real danger and poses a threat to life for the individual. In psychology, fear is understood as the internal state of a person, which is caused by an alleged or real disaster.
A chain reaction in the brain that starts with a stressful stimulus and ends with the release of chemicals that cause a faster heart rate, faster breathing, and energized muscles (also known as the fight-or-flight response). The stimulus can be anything: a spider in the bathroom, an aggressive passerby on the street, an audience full of people waiting for you to perform, or a sudden loud knock on your window.
More than 100 billion nerve cells in the brain make up the complex network of communications that is the starting point of everything we feel, think and do. Some of these messages lead to conscious thoughts and actions, while others evoke autonomous responses.
