I have returned to my old work, illustrations for the book "The Silmarillion" and "The Children of Hurin" by J.R.R. Tolkien. For those who are not in the know, a brief retelling of the “latest episodes” :) Main subjects: - The dragon helmet of Dor-lómin, which belonged to Turin Turambar, the legendary hero of the first era of Middle-earth, one of the first Dúnedain. - The sword Gurtang, which was reforged by Turin from the sword Anglachel, which was forged from meteorite iron. The sword was blackened with magic and had its own soul. Actually, because of the possession of this sword, Turin received his name Mormegil (black sword). The inscriptions on the helmet are in Sindarin (one of the languages of the elves) two elven battle cries: Lacho calad! Drego morning! (Shine the light! Run the night!) and Tôl acharn! (Revenge is coming!). The inscription on the sword is also in Sindarin, this is his name - Gurtang (Iron of Death).
