Cascadeur Mobile open beta version

Cascadeur, released in 2019, is designed as an alternative to traditional animation software for game development, motion graphics, and visual effects. While it offers standard tools for rigging, posing, and character animation, its unique advantage lies in its set of semi-automatic tools supported by artificial intelligence. The AutoPosing system allows for quickly creating key poses by manipulating a small number of joints, with Cascadeur handling the rest of the body. The program can then calculate physically accurate motion trajectories between poses.

Cascadeur Mobile adapts these workflows for use on mobile devices. A demonstration at the top of the news shows users posing characters according to a reference photo using gesture controls and a simplified version of the standard Cascadeur interface. In addition to this, Cascadeur Mobile includes key animation features from the desktop version, such as a full-fledged timeline, interpolation control, and trajectories. The application also features an AR Mode, enabling users to animate characters in augmented reality, as demonstrated in this video.

Cascadeur Mobile is currently available in an open beta version for users of iPhone and iPad. According to Nekki, for the "optimal experience," you'll need an iPhone 11 or better. The invitation link to join the beta version can be found on the Cascadeur Discord server.

To download the beta version of the app itself, you will need to install TestFlight. Nekki has not yet announced the final release date or the price of Cascadeur Mobile.
