Chaos has announced V-Ray for ARM

Despite ARM historically being associated with mobile devices, it is now increasingly being used in desktop systems and cloud environments. In a blog post by Chaos, it is noted that "current benchmarks of ARM-based AWS processors compared to similar x86 processors show similar performance at lower operating costs" - meaning lower power consumption.

ARM processors are supported by a variety of Linux distributions, including those commonly used in DCC applications such as RHEL and Ubuntu. According to the blog post, Chaos is working on "comprehensive V-Ray support," which implies that ARM processors will be supported in both V-Ray Standalone and renderer versions for Linux-based DCC applications like V-Ray for Maya. Based on the available information, V-Ray for ARM processors is "coming soon." Chaos has not announced a specific release date or system requirements yet.
