RealityScan 1.4 by Epic Games

RealityScan aims to make the capabilities of 3D scanning tools like RealityCapture, photogrammetry software acquired by Epic in 2021, accessible to both enthusiasts and professionals. The app transforms photos of real-world objects taken with a mobile phone or tablet camera into textured 3D models for use in AR, game development, or regular 3D work.
The data is processed in the cloud, from where the resulting 3D model can be exported to Sketchfab - Epic's platform for sharing models - and downloaded in FBX format for use in other DCC applications and game engines. Files uploaded to Sketchfab are automatically encoded into glTF and USDZ formats, which are supported in applications such as 3ds Max, Blender, Cinema 4D, Maya, Unity, and Unreal Engine.

RealityScan 1.4 simplifies the process of cropping unwanted parts of the raw scan, allowing users to drag crop boundaries in both fixed 2D views and 3D. The update also enhances the quality of generated UV maps and meshes: "artifacts such as floating triangles and small mesh fragments" are now automatically filtered out during processing.

In terms of workflow improvements, they include the ability to assign categories and tags to scans before exporting them to Sketchfab.
RealityScan is compatible with Android phones and tablets that support ARCore and run on Android 7.0 and above, as well as with iPhones and iPads running on iOS 16.0 and above and iPadOS 16.0 and above. The software is free.
