AccuRig 1.3 - Rigging and 3D Character Work
AccuRig 1.3 is an automatic character rigging tool similar to Mixamo, the free Adobe online library. It is designed to work with ActorCore, Reallusion's online library of 3D characters and motions, some of which are available for free, but can also be used independently. The software imports characters in OBJ and FBX formats, generates a 19-joint body rig and a separate finger rig, and exports the character rig in iAvatar format for use in Reallusion's iClone animation software, or in FBX or USD formats for use in other DCC applications and game engines.
AccuRig 1.3 includes presets for exporting rigged characters to 3ds Max, Blender, Cinema 4D, Maya, MotionBuilder, Omniverse, Unity, and Unreal Engine. In addition to local export of rigged characters, the new version introduces features for sharing them with clients or colleagues by uploading them to the ActorCore website. Users can share an animated preview of the uploaded character for viewing on desktop or mobile devices by generating a link or QR code for distribution. They can also customize the background, lighting, camera view, and preview thumbnail, as well as choose poses and clips from the ActorCore library to use with the character.
Notably, there's an option to generate HTML code for embedding characters on a website. Users can decide whether to make the uploaded characters public and accessible for download to anyone with the preview link.
AccuRig 1.3 is available for Windows 8 and higher. It's a free download. To export a rigged 3D character, you'll need to create a free ActorCore account, even if you're exporting locally.
