Some of the snakes emerge from the head a bit too close to the eye sockets, whereas Medusa had snakes for her hair, I think that the emergence area s/b limited to the actual hairline. It'll be nice to treat this head an actual bas-relief, not a full dimension sculpture, since it is supposed to be on the shield; and attach it to the surface instead of just "sinking" it in. The brushed ornaments on the shield look very nice, maybe add more grime to make it look worn out, or if this set of armor belongs to Athena, it could be made gold.
