The Leclerc Pre-Prototype Main Battle Tank for Armored Warfare
I was responsible for making a game-ready 3D model of an early pre-prototype unit of the Leclerc main battle tank program for the Armored Warfare game by My.Games. My task was to create a high-quality, historically accurate and game-optimized tank model using full model development pipeline.
I did:
— Additional research and reference gathering
— Meticulous multiple camera-matching for geometrical consistency
— Reconstruction of the missing parts unavailable for direct observation
— High-poly artifact-free full Sub-D modeling with exaggerated bevels to ensure proper normal map baking and preservation of details
— Thrifty low-poly modeling, UV mapping for minimization of aliasing and near-seamless camouflage textures tiling
— Texture baking with an account for LODs
— Texture masks painting for dirt, rust and scratches
— LOD and proxy objects
Note: I made only the tank and prepared presentation images.
